The Mets & Livan...A Good Fit

The Newark Star-Ledger is reporting that the Arizona Diamondbacks are putting out feelers for pitcher Livan Hernandez. The Mets are one of the few teams known to be interested in the right hander (along with the Braves and Mariners). Hernandez, who is listed at thirty-two years old, is 5-6 with a 4.77 ERA. While Hernandez's numbers aren't overly impressive he might be the best fit among all starters on the trading block. He has post season experience, posting a 5-2 record with a 3.99 ERA, and has shown leadership on pitching staffs he's been on.
