Found September 24, 2008 on Memories Of Kevin Malone:
At risk of counting our collective eggs before they hatch, i'm gonna try my best to avoid uttering the "P Word" until it's actually official.

Anyway, like I said, don't panic. Actually, i'm starting to develop confidence in this team, something that's known to be highly dangerous to fans, as evidenced by the ripped out hearts and souls that litter the path to the World Series. Still, against the wishes of my brain, my excitement grows daily, and I don't think I can stop it anymore. :o

Back to Dodger news, it seems that even after Ned Colletti did exactly what Frank McCourt wanted (add talent, don't add payroll), McCourt still refuses to give him a vote of confidence.
"Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, who made a rare appearance at batting practice before Tuesday's game with San Diego, sidestepped a question as to whether he plans to make any major personnel changes after the season.

'It would be such a distraction to everybody and everything if I were to engage in any coversation about that right now,' McCourt said. 'That totally misses the point. Right now, the focus is on playing baseball games and winning.'"
As much as I want Colletti gone, i'm shocked that McCourt has remained mum on Colletti's job security. Maybe Frank grew a brain and saw how dumb Ned has been in the grand scheme of things? Nah...

In "i'll believe it when I see it" news, Rafael Furcal says he's finally pain free and ready to go.
"Rafael Furcal said the pain in his surgically repaired lower back has diminished to a point where he is no longer hesitant about venturing onto the field.

'I'm ready for however they want to use me,' Furcal said, adding that the only physical discomfort he's experiencing these days is some mild tightness in his hamstrings."
Right, and I have this bridge...
