Can you believe it was three years ago yesterday? October 6, 2010, Roy Halladay tossed just the second no-hitter in postseason history, stifling the Cincinnati Reds in the NLDS. Luckily, I was there and it was certainly a moment I’ll never forget. I was able to capture the video below from my seat in the press box. Hell, I was nervous for Doc. Yet he was the coolest customer in the building. Just a surreal atmosphere. Here is Jayson Stark’s postgame story. I also wrote a breakdown, which you can find here. —————————— Two years ago today, the Phillies lost a heartbreaker. Up 2-1 over the Cardinals, St. Louis roared back to win the final two games and clinched a spot in the NLCS. Everyone recalls what happened in Game 5. It was sort of a defining moment of the downfall of the franchise. The offense was shutdown completely by Chris Carpenter, who outdid his friend Roy Halladay, 1-0. The Phillies haven’t recovered since. Halladay’s one run and six hits over eight innings was not good enough.
