Can you believe it was three years ago yesterday? October 6, 2010, Roy Halladay tossed just the second no-hitter in postseason history, stifling the Cincinnati Reds in the NLDS. Luckily, I was there and it was certainly a moment I’ll never forget. I was able to capture the video below from my seat in the press box. Hell, I was nervous for Doc. Yet he was the coolest customer in the building. Just a surreal atmosphere. Here is Jayson Stark’s postgame story. I also wrote a breakdown, which you can find here. —————————— Two years ago today, the Phillies lost a heartbreaker. Up 2-1 over the Cardinals, St. Louis roared back to win the final two games and clinched a spot in the NLCS. Everyone recalls what happened in Game 5. It was sort of a defining moment of the downfall of the franchise. The offense was shutdown completely by Chris Carpenter, who outdid his friend Roy Halladay, 1-0. The Phillies haven’t recovered since. Halladay’s one run and six hits over eight innings was not good enough. Ryan Howard blew out his Achilles tendon and the rest is history. Here is our Phillies Nation game story from that day. (Yahoo sports AP)
