Dom D's Mets Fan Blog:
According to David Lennon of Newsday, It appears the Mets will be bidding for Francisco Rodriguez or Brian Fuentes.
The one they get will be determined by the length of the contract each desires and of course the amount. The Mets are waiting for the medical reports for Rodriguez whom they have not seen..
K-Rod is 26 years old and Fuentes is 33 years old. The Mets here are probably looking for the younger of the two, which would be Rodriguez. They also can market Rodriguez in their new ballpark, Citi-Field...
Joe DeMayo of NYBD said yesterday in his rumor report, that the Mets are in fact targeting Francisco Rodriguez.
In Other Notes:
Lennon also points out that the Mets still remain interested in Raul Ibanez, but many teams will be bidding for his services.
They also appear to be interested in Oliver Perez and Derek Lowe, who I mentioned both will be considered.
