The Toronto Blue Jays experienced a rather wild weekend when you know what the team went through.  Toronto played in an 18 inning marathon on Saturday and then had their best player thrown out in the ninth inning of Sunday’s game. Saturday’s game against the Texas Rangers made headlines in the world of sports.  In fact, when I went to on Sunday,  there where two articles written about the game. I did watched a good portion of  Saturday’s game, but had some work to do on the computer.  I decided to listen to the game on t.v. while doing my work. Finally,  in the bottom of the 18th inning, the Blue Jays scored the winning run to give Toronto the 4-3 victory.  My heart filled with joy when the run was scored. Adam Lind went four for seven at the plate.  Jay’s starting pitcher, Mark Buehrle had a good day on the mound.  Buehrle gave up four hits, an earned run, two walks, and struck out three batters in seven innings pitched. “(Mark) Buehrle was awesome,” said Jay’s manager, John Gibbons after the game. Shortly after Saturday’s game, the Blue Jays optioned pitcher, Brad Lincoln to Triple A Buffalo. Toronto lost Sunday’s game 6-4.  Starting pitcher, Josh Johnson gave up five hits. three earned runs, four walks, and struck out four batters in five innings pitched. Jose Bautista In the bottom of the ninth inning, Blue Jay slugger, Jose Bautista was thrown out of the game for arguing with home-plate umpire, Gary Darling. I got some news items to pass along. Pitcher, Dustin McGowan was activated from the 60 day disabled list following Friday’s 6-1 win over Texas. The team promoted catcher Josh Thole and infielder Andy LaRoche from Triple A Buffalo. Toronto begins a three game series tonight against the Chicago White Sox. Earlier today, the club confirm they’ve signed pitcher, Chien-Ming Wang and said he will be on the mound for the Jays tomorrow night.
