I got some good news and some bad news. To get the misery over with, we’ll started with the bad news. The Toronto Blue Jays did not have a good weekend in Anaheim as the Los Angeles Angels won three out of four games. The Jays got hammered in the first game 8-2.  Josh Johnson continues to struggle on the  mound as he gave up 10 hits, six earned runs, and two walks. Johnson also had a strike out in 2.1 innings pitched. Brett Lawrie went two for three at the plate. The Jays lost the second game 7-5.  Toronto’s pitching was just as bad in this game as it was in the first.  Todd Redmond went 3.2 innings, giving up seven hits, three earned runs,  a walk, and struck out five batters.  Jose Reyes went one for three at the plate and collected two RBIs. Toronto got hammered again in the third game 7-3.   This time it was Esmil Rogers on the mound.  In five innings pitched, Rogers gave up 10 hits, five earned runs racked up , a walk ad struck out five batters. The Blue Jays won the rubber match 6-5.  Jose Bautista went three for five and racked up two RBIs.  Mark Buehrle had a good start, but not a great start on the mound.  Buehrle gave up seven hits, five earned runs, two walks, and struck out four batters in six innings pitched. Now for the good news. Melky Cabrera won’t face further suspension. Melky Cabrera won’t be disciplined for being involved in the Biogenises Drug scandal because he’d already served a suspension last year. Cabrera was suspended in 2012, when he was with the San Francisco Giants, for 50 games for testing positive for high levels of testosterone in his bloodstream. Pitcher, J.A. Happ has been activated from the 60-day disabled list and is scheduled to start tomorrow night in Seattle. All-Star pitcher, Steve Delabar has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his right shoulder. The Jays play Seattle later tonight in the second of a three game series.
