Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout didn't hesitate when asked which made him more uncomfortable Friday --

appearing on MLB Network's "Intentional Talk" or batting with the bases loaded in a tie game.

"Oh, Intentional Talk definitely," he said with a big smile. "I'm not big on speaking in front of

That might be the only skill the 20-year-old Trout hasn't flashed in the big leagues. Friday night, he

drove in or scored all of the Angels' runs in a 4-2 victory over the Texas Rangers, driving in the winning

runs with a two-out, bases-loaded single in the seventh inning.

"He's been such a catalyst for us since he came up," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "His talent

speaks for itself. But to just grasp this guy being 20 years old and playing at such a high level -- it's

very, very impressive.

"Mike was ready for the challenge and he's been a real catalyst for us."

Indeed -- the Angels' leadoff hitters batted a collective .195 with a .250 on-base percentage through

the first 20 games of the season.

Since his promotion on April 27, Trout is batting .309 with a .387 on-base percentage, 22 runs scored

(tied for the team lead), 16 extra-base hits (eight doubles, three triples, five home runs) and 12 multi-

hit games.

More importantly, the infusion of his energy has been a key factor in the Angels' turnaround. They were

6-14 when he was promoted. They are 19-12 when he starts at leadoff.
