Twins get Orlando Cabrera

The Oakland A's have traded Orlando Cabrera to Minnesota for shortstop prospect Tyler Ladendorf. Ladendorf was a second rounder last summer, but he hasn't hit much yet as a professional at levels that he should handle as a college draftee. He's currently at the Low A level. Cabrera isn't a stud, but as Rosenthal mentions, the Twins are getting zilch offensively from their middle infield. The A's are very welcome to empty out their roster. Texas plays them 11 more times in the last two months.
