While the Washington Nationals Hot Stove continues to burn white-hot (when Doug Slaten news is big news, you know you're in trouble) we'd be remiss if we didn't say *something* about Nats minor leaguer Ben Graham dressing up as Santa and proposing to his girlfriend (a Tenessee Titans cheerleader) this past Sunday.

When Debbi Taylor interviewed Doug Slaten
Christmas comes early in NatsTown: Nationals non-tender Doug Slaten.
Sadly, Slaten was at his most productive in 2011 during the 77 game stint he spent on the DL with left elbow ulnar neuritis.

Winter Meetings Review: Washington Nationals
Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the end of the road. The Nationals are last in the alphabet only as Mike Rizzo has managed to build a very good farm system that is just beginning to percolate. They had one question: "What do you think of Yu Darvish?" The 25-year-old right-hander who will come to the major leagues with ...
Nationals Sign Waldis Joaquin
The Nationals signed right-hander Waldis Joaquin to a minor league deal that includes an invitation to Spring Training, MLBTR has learned. The hard-throwing 24-year-old became a free agent in November after the Giants designated him for assignment.
Joaquin made 19 relief appearances for the Giants from 2009-11, including five this past season. He spent most of 2011 at...
