The Toronto Blue Jays have proved it’s the city’s only professional sports club that has been listening to its fans. After winning two back-to-back World Series championships, the Major League Baseball team hasn’t made the playoffs since the 1993 season. With fans getting fed up of losing, the club has attempted to rectify the situation by making several major moves in the past year. The latest one was a seven-player trade on Dec. 17 when they acquired pitcher R.A Dickey from the New York Mets. Dickey won the Cy Young award in the National League this season and he was sent to Toronto from the Big Apple along with a minor league player and catcher Josh Thole. The Blue Jays sent a minor leaguer back to New York as well as catchers Travis d’Arnaud and John Buck, and right-handed pitcher Noah Syndergaard. The 38-year-old Dickey is a knuckleball specialist and he agreed to a three-year-contract with Toronto which will see him paid a total of $29 million up until the end of the 2015 ba...
