For the fourth time this season, Derek Jeter has been sidelined. There is no timetable for his return, and unless the Yankees reach the postseason — and there is still hope on that front — there is a decent chance that he will make no meaningful contribution to the team at all this season. Even […]
The AL Wild card remains wide open and up for grabs. Andy Pettitte (10-9, 4.03 ERA) and Scott Feldman (5-4, 3.63 ERA) make their case for their teams tonight at Camden Yards. The veteran lefty has now pitched five straight quality starts. ”I...

Do you remember where you were 12 years ago today? I do. I was in my second grade class with all of my friends just having a normal day like everyone else when chaos started to occur. Teachers went to meet outside to try and grasp what was actually going on. After the second plane hit it was clear that this was a deliberate attack against our nation. Was there more to come? Were...
Third headline?Derek Jeter is out for the rest of the season. What a year.I just hope that supermodel he's dating is worth it.She's obviously bad juju.
New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, the team announced Wednesday.
Jeter last played Saturday against Boston. He was removed for a pinch runner after hurting his left ankle, and although a CT scan was negative, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said the shortstop will be shut down for the remainder of the year.
The Captain Derek Jeter was placed on the disabled list again Wednesday ending the 39 year old’s season. Jeter suffered a severe ankle injury nearly a year ago against Detroit in the American League Championship Series something that he apparently never fully recovered from. Many assumed that when he went down with that ankle injury […]

He is Derek Jeter so of course he was going to make it back for Opening Day. And when he refractured his left ankle the recalibration was to early in the second half — ahead of schedule for sure — to help save the Yankees’ season.
Jeter wasn’t going to be stopped by quad and calf setbacks and even this latest ankle misery hardly diluted the belief that somehow some way he...
So long, 2013 version of Derek Jeter. We hardly knew you. The New York Yankees announced on Wednesday that Jeter has once again been placed on the disabled list with an ankle injury. This week, the Seattle Mariners said good-bye to Brendan Ryan by shipping him East to the New York Yankees for a player to be named later. His spectacular skills at shortstop in Seattle made him a highlight reel waiting to happen. He dazzled and whirled his way around Safeco’s middle infield when he was picked up in 2011, solidifying his spot in day-to-day play when he first...
