MVN:
Carlos Zambrano isn't being properly contrite for missing the team flight to Atlanta, at least according to the scolds who cover the Cubs.Gordon Wittenmyer of the Sun-Times says in its headline: "Carlos Zambrano doesn't seem very contrite." 'I don't have nothing to say,'' he said. ''What do you want me to say?''How about that his actions aren't the selfish behavior of a guy who has no trouble putting himself ahead of his team -- as those actions, and some members of the team, have suggested?Charming, Gordon. Is this a column you're writing? Then Paul Sullivan of the Trib, notes this:ATLANTA -- Lou Piniella said the discipline of Carlos Zambrano for missing the team flight to Atlanta on Monday was handled "internally," declining to elaborate"Internally," Sullivan says, using the scare quotes around a single word in the universal journalism symbol of skepticism. For his part, Z tells them to go away:Zambrano laughed off the Tribune report, saying Wednesday: "You want to go find a story? Go to Afghanistan."Not sure what "Tribune report" Paul is talking about here, unless he actually meant "Tribune report." Does anyone edit that newspaper?
