The smoke continues to clear a bit after Major League Baseball handed down a 65-game suspension to Ryan Braun following their investigation into his involvement with the Biogenesis scandal. Naturally, there have certainly been no shortage of people chiming in with their personal opinions on the matter. One of the latest people to come forward with their thoughts is Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke, who was a teammate of Braun's in 2011, and Greinke didn't appreciate the fact that he and others were lied to. The right-hander made that perfectly clear in the following quotes from the Los Angeles Times."The main thing is, yeah, he lied to us," Greinke said. "He forced us to lie for him, threw people under the bus in order to help himself out and didn't care, blamed others for his mistakes and it’s just a lot of things you don’t expect from people."Greinke said Braun had him convinced that he was telling the truth, too."Oh, yeah, 100% believed him. Everything was so convincing. He had people to blame. He seemed like a really good guy. He was a good teammate at the time. You don’t know the guys that he was pinning it on. I'm not positive, but I think everyone 100% believed him at the time. Especially the next year, he looked just as good as the year before. His numbers his whole career, Hall of Fame numbers. How could you not believe him? He was so convincing.""Not even talking about the player. It’s just the person. Just the fact that he was willing to use anyone that got in his path. The closer you were to him, the more he would use you. It's just disappointing that a human being could be like that."Those are pretty powerful words from Greinke, indeed.Via Big League Stew

Scouting report: Scott Schebler, Los Angeles Dodgers' outfield prospect

If there's one position the Dodgers have produced and had a surplus of in the minors in recent years, it's outfielders. That holds true at the Major League level, too. So, I'm sure you're not surprised to see the have yet another outfield prospect on the farm who could be more than just a fourth outfielder down the road. Scott Schebler is tearing up the California...

Puig comes through again in walk-off win

LOS ANGELES In a game where the Dodgers played for 10 and scoreless innings and set a new franchise record for strikeouts, there's only one player that could possibly come through with the game-winning theatrics: Yasiel Puig. Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, with one out and the game tied up 0-0 in the bottom of the 11th, Puig came up to bat against the Reds' Curtis...

Yasiel Puig hits Walk-Off Home Run, Slides into Home Plate

Yasiel Puig hits a walk-off home run against my favorite team to give the Dodgers a 1-0 win in extra innings, and he slides into home plate feet first to the arms of his awaiting teammates. I should hate this guy with every inch of my soul. But I don’t. Puig is quickly becoming one of my favorite non-Reds players in baseball. He’s a flashy Cuban with a killer instinct that is...
