After a few days of back and forth speculation about whether Zack Greinke would return to the Los Angeles Dodgers or make another rehab start, manager Don Mattingly put the topic to rest last night.  Greinke will be starting today for the Dodgers.  The decision comes after Greinke made just one rehab start following surgery on his clavicle. Zack Greinke starts for Dodgers Wednesday, Don Mattingly said. — Ken Gurnick (@kengurnick) May 14, 2013 Greinke suffered a fractured clavicle on April 12th when he was involved in a benches-clearing brawl.  Greinke threw a 3-2 pitch that hit the Padres' Carlos Quentin.  Quentin took exception to the pitch and rushed out after Greinke.  Both players lowered their shoulders at impact, and it seems that movement caused Greinke to suffer the fractured clavicle. Greinke's rehab has gone about as well as the Dodgers could have hoped.  He was expected to miss eight weeks after undergoing surgery.  It appears he will miss just four instead.  This is fantastic news for the struggling Dodgers. Los Angeles beat the Washington Nationals last night to improve to 16-22 on the season.  They are still in last place in the National League West, though.  They need help, and they need it quick.  Greinke could provide the much-needed boost this team is looking for.
