Bo Jackson, a Will Clark Fight, and a few other sweet baseball videos
I love baseball but watch games very infrequently. I’m more of a fantasy baseball, watch Baseball Tonight and MLB Network highlights, stat nerd type of fan (which could stem from me rooting for the Pirates). Here are 5 baseball videos that entertained me.
Will Clark fights Ozzie Smith and Jose Oquendo
Back in the day baseball fights used to be so much better. Unless Kyle Farnsworth...

McGwire autographs fan’s prosthetic leg
Legendary slugger and possible juicer Mark McGwire moved on from his hitting coach duties with the St. Louis Cardinals in November to fill the same position on the coaching staff of the Los Angeles Dodgers. And when you head West out to La La Land and its hippy dippy environs, even typically mundane events such as an autograph signing session can get weird in a hurry. On Monday,...
McGwire thankful for time with Cardinals
ST. LOUIS - When Mark McGwire returned to the game of baseball in 2010 as the Cardinals hitting coach, he did so with a promise to his wife: After every season, the two would talk and reevaluate whether or not he should continue to coach the following year.
The two also had a dream: that he could someday coach for a team closer to their home in Orange County, Ca. He got about as...

McGwire finds happy home with Dodgers
LOS ANGELES -- Mark McGwire is back in Southern California, officially announced to the world Wednesday as the Dodgers' new hitting coach. He replaces Dave Hansen, who was removed from the position following the 2012 season, offered a new job with the team, then took the job as Seattle's hitting coach. All of that was pretty much known last week when the McGwire news first...

Players happy for McGwire, sad to see him go
ST. LOUIS - As Mark McGwire phoned his former students this past weekend to inform them he would be accepting an offer to become the Los Angeles Dodgers hitting coach, their reaction was one of disappointment but also happiness.

Dodgers tab Mark McGwire as their next hitting coach
Well, that certainly came out of nowhere.
When Dave Hansen was dismissed as the Dodgers' hitting coach on Oct. 12, I don't think one person thought Mark McGwire would be the man to replace him. But here we are, nearly a month later and that's exactly what's happening.
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
"Mark McGwire will leave the Cardinals as hitting...

Heres one you probably didnt see coming: The Dodgers are close to hiring Mark McGwire as their new hitting coach.
McGwire has served as the Cardinals' hitting coach for the last three seasons, but the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported that he has told the club he intends to accept the same position with the Dodgers.

MAC ON THE MOVE
McGwire to coach the Dodgers?
Mark McGwire may be leaving the Cardinals for the Dodgers. He's been the hitting coach for St. Louis the past two seasons, but he might want to move.
Canseco wears shirt with ‘apology’ to McGwire to Cards-Dodgers game
Jose Canseco, who, after all the steroid stuff, we have come to know and love over the last few years as Twitter’s resident profoundly nonsensical madman, made an appearance at a major league ballpark on Thursday, taking in the Los Angeles Dodgers-St. Louis Cardinals tilt at Dodgers Stadium in Chavez Ravine. Sitting in a field box, [...]
On McGwire and Berkman – at second base?
This is another post where you are going to have to trust me for a few minutes, but it should make sense by the end.
The other day, I wrote about a trio of 2012 St. Louis Cardinals being among tallest at the second base position in team history.
There was a related story which would have been lost in the longer initial article, so I am instead sharing it here.
In the process of discussing...
