The Pittsburgh Pirates didn’t have a catching prospect in MLB.com’s top 10 list that was released today, but Jonathan Mayo released the 11-15 rankings and had Wyatt Mathisen on the list. I’m not sure if the players were listed in order of their ranking, but Mathisen was the fourth one down.

Pirates Sign Six Minor League Free Agents
The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed six minor league free agents, according to Baseball America. Returning to the organization are catchers Milver Reyes and Wyatt Toregas. Reyes was a coach last year, and will likely return to the same role. Toregas will probably fill the role once again as AAA depth and an emergency catcher if the Pirates happen to need a dozen catchers again...
