According to reports, Tony Sanchez, a 23-year-old Pirates prospect at catcher, was involved in a bar fight about three months ago which resulted in him getting his jaw broken.

Tony Sanchez Broke Jaw Over Off-Season
Rob Biertempfel of the Trib is reporting that Pittsburgh Pirates catching prospect Tony Sanchez broke his jaw over the off-season in a bar room fight. Biertempfel reports that the incident happened during the Florida Instructional Leagues.

Ridiculous news from the Tribune-Review this morning, Pirates prospect Tony Sanchez sustained a broken jaw earlier in the offseason in a "scuffle". There isn't much more information available right now, but it sounds like Sanchez just got in a childish fight and got punched in the jaw. The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that they’ve added six non-roster invitees to Spring Training. The new additions are Gerrit Cole, Michael Crotta, Ramon Cabrera, Eric Fryer, Tony Sanchez, and Robbie Grossman.
