The LA Angels lost Mr. KRod to the NYMets earlier in the year.
And Angel Nation was aghast - after all, KRod is now the all time greatest closer for a single season (statistically of course).
Now they have replaced KRod with Brian "Awkward Motion" Fuentes with a two year, $17.5 million deal. The deal has a third year vesting option.
My Analysis:
Grade: B+
Why: Not quite Mr. Teixeira - but a great option to close the 9th and more reliable than KRod.
Issue: Does Fuentes have the mental tenacity to play big big games... something that didnt happen in Colorado.
