Fast rising welterweight Rory MacDonald is set to take on mixed martial arts legend B.J. Penn on the main card of Saturday’s UFC on FOX 5. Many consider MacDonald to be the heir apparent to the welterweight title currently held by his teammate Georges St-Pierre. Penn appears to be at a crossroads in his career as he has only one win in his last five fights. However, he also appears to be very motivated and the reports from his training camp have been very positive. The good guys at Fighters.com have come great infographic detailing the welterweight clash. Mixing in historical data, Twitter sparring and the St-Pierre factor they predict a MacDonald submission win in the first round. We tend to agree that MacDonald will walk away as the victor but we predict a second round technical knockout finish. What do you think? The main card of UFC on FOX 5 will kick-off at 8:00pm ET on FOX television. Rory MacDonald vs B.J. Penn – UFC on Fox 5 B.J.
