At 6:30 p.m. ET on Saturday July 13th UFC President Dana White announced live on ESPN that Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva have both signed a contract to fight inside of the MGM Grand on December 28th. This bout will headline UFC 168 with Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate II being bumped to co-main event status. Biggest card in UFC history? UFC 100 and 129 may come close, but on paper there is no cigar with what's at stake come December 28th in Vegas. Weidman has become an overnight superstar since KO'ing Silva this past weekend at UFC 162. He caught Silva with a left hook after chasing the former middleweight champion while he attempted to clown Weidman in an attempt to  get him to "play his game". Many MMA pundits believe that it was nothing more than Silva's tomfoolery that spelled the end to his record breaking title run. Some will tell you that Weidman will beat Silva again and then go on to beat all of his records. During the fight announcement a video played of Silva announcing his thoughts on this upcoming rematch with Weidman. The former champion had a simple message for his fans. "I back, trust me, I back," Silva said staring straight into the camera with a smile and a wink, sporting his Nike Anderson knows shirt. This is the rematch that had to happen folks, and with Anderson on board - prepare for the most motivated "Spider" in years. He has a reason to be hungry again. Will the rediscovering of that hunger be enough to stop the "All-American" now that he's had a taste of the good life? Only time will tell.
