Former Strikeforce Women's Featherweight Champion and pound-for-pound Queenpin Cristiane 'Cyborg' Justino seemed closer to disappearing into obscurity than ever contending for a title again. Tonight someone in her camp finally came to their senses and got the right deal done. Or maybe it was all done by design. Cyborgs manager UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz is no stranger to staying relevant as far as major media is concerned, and after today's signing it's looking like he can offer the very same for his clients. Now whether or not it will be in a positive or negative light, that always remains to be seen with Tito. But any news is usually good news in the fight game, and today's news for Cyborg is that she won't be yesterday's news anytime soon. AXS TV's 'Inside MMA' announced earlier tonight that 'Cyborg' has signed a multi-fight deal with Invicta FC. The deal was announced  by Tito Ortiz during a press conference live from his stomping grounds in Huntington Beach, California. Cyborg's first opponent will be Ediane 'India' Gomes, whose most impressive wins come over Cesar Gracie product Leslie Smith, and most recently Hiroko Yamanaka. The winner of 'Cyborg' vs. Gomes will earn a spot opposite Marloes 'Rumina' Coenen in the inaugural Invicta FC featherweight title bout which will likely headline their 6th event.  Julia Budd, who was originally scheduled to fight Gomes, will now be taking on Queensland's Fiona Muxlow. The last time we saw Muxlow was at DREAM:NYE in Saitama where she was defeated by Coenen via first round submission.  For more news on 'Invicta FC 5: Penne vs. Waterson' keep it locked here.
