Moments ago in the main event of UFC 168, Chris Weidman defeated Anderson Silva to retain the UFC Middleweight Championship.
In the opening parts of the second round, Silva throws a leg kick, Weidman checks it and then Silva’s legcracks and Silva lands in a heap with referee Herb Dean stopping the fight.

During the second round of UFC 168's main event, Anderson Silva suffered a gruesome broken leg while kicking Chris Weidman. The break ended the match, and could very well be the last image fans see of the legendary Silva in the octagon.
Alas and unfortunately, the image seen at left will most likely be the last one we see of arguably the greatest fighter ever in the history of mixed martial arts inside the cage.
