Two lengthy win streaks will collide when Bobby Green takes on James Krause at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 , FOX Sports has learned. The lightweight pairing has been confirmed by a UFC official. Green, a Strikeforce veteran, made his octagon debut at UFC 156 and choked out Jacob Volkmann, extending his run of wins to five straight. Green (20-5), has finished 16 of his career wins and holds career victories over Daron Cruickshank, Matt Ricehouse and Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett. UFC president Dana White was so enamored of Green's performance in the Volkmann bout that he has since brought him up in discussing a fighter's fire to finish. "If you want to stay in this f---ing company, that's how you better fight," White said a few weeks after the match. "That's what you better do. Be Bobby Green. Those kids that came in that night from Strikeforce were so hungry. They were hungry, man. That's what I want, I want guys who are hungry." Green was at one time set to face Danny Castillo in July before an injury forced him out. In Krause (20-4), he'll be facing an opponent who boasts an even longer stretch of success, heading to the winner's circle eight straight times. He, too, is coming off a victorious UFC debut, defeating veteran Sam Stout by guillotine choke in a double-bonus performance at UFC 161 where he won both Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night. UFC Fight for the Troops 3 takes place at Fort Campbell, Kentucky on Nov. 6, and is headlined by a main event that will see former light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida make his middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy. The event is the fourth the UFC has held on a military base, following previous once in 2006, 2008 and 2011, and will benefit veteran's causes.
