For Benson Henderson, Saturday night's UFC on FOX fight was a battle for respect as much as it was a battle to keep his lightweight title. His two prior wins to capture and retain the belt – both over Frankie Edgar – were razor-thin decision victories. Even though he was the champion, he came into the bout with the tenacious Nate Diaz as a fighter who had something to prove.
Which is exactly what Henderson did in a dominating, five-round, unanimous-decision victory. Again and again, he kept taking Diaz to the ground. He knocked him back with elbows and swelled Diaz's right eye shut. He bounced around the Octagon with as much energy in the final round as he did in the first, and against an opponent who was no slouch and who kept coming at him.

Skyrocketing UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald (Pictured) confirmed a few things on Saturday night; 1) He is arguably MMA’s most fashionable fighter. 2) He is one bad mofo. 3) He couldn’t care less if fans dislike him.

Rory MacDonald (Pictured) talked plenty of smack heading into Saturday’s shootout against BJ Penn, which caused Penn to challenge the youngster to back up his yack inside the cage at Thursday’s pre-fight presser.
Well, as the old adage goes,”The proof is in the pudding.”
MacDonald dominated “The Prodigy” for 15 lopsided minutes en route to cruising to a unanimous decision...
BJ Penn is back, and he looks amazing. Anyone who’s seen his videos recently or recent photos has seen an amazingly chiseled and focused Penn. In stark contrast there’s the new look Rory MacDonald who looks to be auditioning for a new part in The Big Bang Theory. I guess he took the whole, “The UFC is going Metro” thing literally. It’s like we’re all finally...

The UFC On FOX 5 fights themselves did come through, as most contests were exciting, entertaining and featured a number of finishes. Although not everything went according to plan.
