As the old adage goes, “Time heals all wounds.” Well, at the rate UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon is going, he’ll need a few more weeks to get his battered face back to normal. Lauzon tweeted the above pic two days after his unanimous decision defeat to Jim Miller at UFC 155. Just 24 hours later, he posted the image below stating, “3 days later… Keeps getting worse.” Fans shouldn’t feel too bad for Lauzon. He may have been mauled in the opening round against Miller, but he gained plenty of fans by showcasing true warrior spirit by refusing to be finished. UFC president Dana White and co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta gave J-Lau and Miller standing ovations for their thrilling scrap. They also rewarded Lauzon (and Miller) with an additional $65,000 for ‘Fight of the Night’ honors.
