On Sunday, it was reported Lorenz Larkin’s (Pictured) upcoming title fight against reigning Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold could be in jeopardy for the second consecutive time because Rockhold’s wrist injury isn’t coming around as anticipated.
Well, Larkin caught wind of the disappointing news and questioned Rockhold’s threshold for pain and his warrior spirit to UFC president Dana White.
“hey Dana I hurt my right pinky toe guess I can’t fight wish I started 2 years before I did so I could have skipped this [p***y] era,” Larkin tweeted. “or can you give me that Black Friday price for the sf belt?”
Larkin was initially slated to challenge Rockhold for his crown in Strikeforce’s canceled November 3rd event until the champ’s wrist forced him to exit stage left. They were rescheduled to collide on January 12th, which is heavily rumored to be the promotion’s finale, but it appears his wrist will once again nix those plans.
Strikeforce has yet to comment on Rockhold’s alleged setback.
Larkin made his 185-pound debut by posting a lopsided unanimous decision victory over Robbie Lawler in July. The only “blemish” on his résumé came in a no contest against Muhammed Lawal after “King Mo” tested positive for a banned substance following his KO win.
