UFC officials announced today that a heavyweight bout between Matt Mitrione and Rob Broughton has been signed for UFC on FOX 4.
UFC on FOX 4 takes place August 4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The main event for UFC on FOX 4 has yet to be announced.
Mitrione is 5-1 in his professional mixed martial arts career. He is 4-1 in his past five bouts and is 5-1 in the UFC thus far. The Ultimate Fighter alum has fought all of his professional bouts in the UFC. In his last bout he suffered his first career loss when he dropped a decision to Cheick Kongo at UFC 137.
Broughton is 15-7-1 in his professional mixed martial arts career. He is currently on a two fight losing skid and is 1-2 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout he was defeated by Philip De Fries via decision at UFC 138.
