Fight Hub TV:
Sources close to Alistair Overeem revealed about two hours ago that the heavyweight has suffered an undisclosed injury that will keep him out of training for 4-5 weeks, and thus, he is out of his UFC 160 fight against Junior dos Santos. Damn it. What could’ve been the biggest heavyweight fight that didn’t involve a belt is out the window. Apparently, Overeem is good to go against Junior in a July fight, which would line up nicely with Anderson SIlva’s bout against Weidman, but for now, it’s time to:
Rally for Mark Hunt.
If there is any other more deserving heavyweight to be thrust into the title picture, it is Hunt, who is currently on a four-fight winning streak filled with violence only the purveyor of the atomic butt-drop and K-1 champion could deliver.
MMAfighting’s Ariel Helwani contacted Hunt, and this is what he had to say:
“If I get the call for the fight, I’m there, of course,” “and the fans are crazy for it, so it’s good.”
“Sounds like a pretty good idea to me,” Hunt said

Sorry, Mark Hunt and your unabashed fanboys. UFC president Dana White has once again swiftly shot down the #RallyForMarkHunt movement. Similarly to when Hunt’s fans bombarded White on Twitter to get their man swapped in for a suspended Alistair Overeem (pictured) to fight Junior dos Santos at UFC 146, they hit White up again on the social media network to have Hunt sub in for...

Check out a backstage look at Alistair’s fight with Bigfoot Silva. Gotta respect Overeem for putting out this video, and showing the fans all of the pre fight talk, even though we all knew the outcome of the fight. Overeem seemed like he was in good spirits after but it can’t be easy dealing with a loss like that. His low testosterone levels is going to be an issue for...
Alistair Overeem is forced to pull out of his fight against rival Junior Dos Santos due to an undisclosed injury that is expected to see him out of action for 4-5 weeks. No word yet if JDS will remain on the card and take another fight or wait for Overeem. This is very unfortunate since that fight seemed to be the bout most fans were looking forward to on the card.
Looks like we’re going to have to wait even longer to see Alistair Overeem take on Junior Dos Santos. Overeem tweeted today that he suffered a torn quad during training and will be out of commission for up to five weeks. Overeem was forced to inform the UFC that he would not be able to [...]

According to Ariel Helwani Dana White said that fan favorite Mark Hunt turned down a fight with former champ Junior Dos Santos after JDS’s previous opponent, Alistair Overeem had to pull out due to injury. Ariel also said that when he reached out to Hunt, Mark declined to comment. Sounds weird when a few days ago Hunt said he was “down” for a fight with JDS.
