Mixed martial arts is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. It was only a matter of time before one of MMA’s best woman fighters joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship circuit.
Enter Ronda Rousey.
Rousey has informally announced that she has signed with the UFC brand, making her the first woman to do so. The signing was later confirmed by UFC president Dana White.
Formally a champion in the Strikeforce women’s division, Rousey will be one of a group of women vying for a spot in UFC’s first female match.
