Open up the floodgates, because the Strikeforce fighters are coming! With the UFC’s little brother likely closing its doors for good after their January show, Caros Fodor is the latest Strikeforce athlete to get promoted to the big leagues.
On Friday afternoon, it was announced the lightweight will meet Sam Stout (Pictured) at UFC 157.
Both 155-pounders will be looking to get back on the winning track. Stout has alternated between wins and losses over his past four scraps. “Hands of Stone” was last seen dropping a unanimous decision to John Makdessi at UFC 154.
Fodor was most recently submitted by Pat Healy in March. “The Future” had rattled off five straight victories prior to meeting Healy.
The bout will appear in the card’s prelims.
UFC 157 takes place February 23rd inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Here is the show’s updated lineup:
Neil Magny vs. Jon Manley
Sam Stout vs. Caros Fodor
Matt Grice vs. Dennis Bermudez
Josh Neer vs. Court McGee
Michael Chiesa vs. Anton Kuivanen
Chad Mendes vs. Manny Gamburyan
Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson
Josh Koscheck vs. Robbie Lawler
Urijah Faber vs. Ivan Menjivar
Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida
