A rubber match between lightweight veterans Sam Stout and Spencer Fisher will take place at UFC on FX 4 on June 22nd. The news was originally reported by Joe Ferraro of Canadian website Sportsnet.ca.
In Stout’s (17-7) promotional debut at UFC 58 in 2006 he would earn a split decision victory over Fisher (24-8). The two would lock horns a little over a year later in June 2007 in the main event of UFC Fight Night 10. Fisher would avenge that loss with a unanimous decision win over Stout.
Both fighters will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping their most recent bouts. Coincidentally they both fell to Thiago Tavares at events held in Brazil. Stout dropped a decision to Tavares at UFC 142 while Fisher suffered a technical knockout loss at UFC 134.
UFC on FX 4 will be headlined by a key lightweight clash between Clay Guida and Gray Maynard. The event will mark the UFC’s return to Atlantic City and is expected to take place at the cities newest resort casino – Revel.
