The bulk of promotion for UFC 157 has been for the women’s title fight however these are two very meaningful and exciting bouts. The winner of Machida vs Henderson will almost certainly get the next shot at the UFC 205lbs belt. Henderson was suppose to have that chance last September but had to pull out of the fight due to knee injury and the card was eventually canceled. Faber vs Menjivar is actually a rematch from a contests that took place in 2006 with Faber getting the W by disqualification due to a kick to a downed opponent. Faber has publicly stated the he thinks the fight should have been a no contest rather than a DQ but on Saturday these two will have the chance to see who is better.

This is an interesting styles match up with Machida being an allusive counter striker and Henderson having excellent wrestling and a very heavy right hand. Not sure who to give the advantage to. This is a big fight for the light heavyweight division since the winner should be in line for the next title shot. Shout out to MMA Fighting for the interview.
