The UFC has medically suspended 21 athletes who competed in the past Saturday’s “UFC on FUEL TV: Barao vs. McDonald” event. Dustin Poirier (Pictured), Tom Watson and Ryan Jimmo could be riding the pine for as long as six months. However, each can return to action sooner with a doctor’s note. The majority of the fighters were issued precautionary 30-day bans. For some reason, Jimi Manuwa, Paul Sass and Josh Grispi were not included on the list. Wembley Arena in Londod hosted last weekend’s show. Because there is no governing body for mixed martial arts in England, the suspensions were levied by Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the UFC, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Here is the event’s official IR list (Courtesy of MixedMartialArts.com): Ulysses Gomez: Suspended 30 days no fight, 21 days no contact. Phil Harris: Suspended 30 days no fight, 21 days no contact.
