A bantamweight battle between Urijah Faber and Ivan Menjivar has been confirmed for UFC 157 on February 23rd. The bout was confirmed on Tuesday evenings episode of UFC Tonight. UFC 157 will take place from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Faber and Menjivar previously meet in 2006 in a bout which Faber won by disqualification. Faber (26-6) has fought for the UFC bantamweight title in two of his last three fights. He was outpointed on both occasions as he fell to rival Dominick Cruz at UFC 132 and most recently to Renan Barao at UFC 149 for the interim title. Faber, a former WEC featherweight champion, has wins over Brian Bowles and Eddie Wineland with the UFC. The veteran Menjivar (25-9) has won four of his last five fights to establish himself as a bantamweight contender. He is coming off a first round armbar submission win over Azamat Gashimov at UFC 154. He also holds wins over John Albert, Nick Pace and Charlie Valencia.
