Greg Biffle comes into Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 from the Michigan International Speedway with a bit more confidence in his step. Biffle and his Roush Fenway Racing team have struggled since finishing fourth at Texas six races ago. His finishes have been 19th, 36th, 13th, 31st, and 15th. Using strategy he was able to finish second last weekend at Pocono. “Coming off our second-place run at Pocono last week, we definitely didn’t probably have a second-place car, but I’m gonna say we were close to it.  We hopefully feel like we’ve learned a few things last week that we can apply here today with the amount of practice we have.  Hopefully, we can continue to learn and make our cars a little bit better, which we need to continue to do.  This is one of my favorite places – a fourth and a win here last year – so we can hopefully do at least the same this year, if not better,” Biffle told reporters Friday from the speedway. Not that he needs added pressure, but if (or any other Ford Racing driver) can pull off the victory, it would be Ford Racing’s 1,000th career NASCAR victory. “There are a lot of things on the line for us as far as that win.  One, it would be our first of the season; two, it would propel us towards the Chase; and three, the 1,000th win for Ford Racing in NASCAR.  That’s a huge deal, so there’s a tremendous amount on the line.  The manufacturers really look to be the frontrunner here and we would like to be that car,” Biffle explained. Biffle will look to get Ford’s 1,000th win and his first of the year starting in the 19th position. The Quicken Loans 400 can be seen at 1 PM EST on TNT.
