David Gilliland
Statesville, N.C. – Completing his third season with the team, David Gilliland has the most starts than any other driver in Front Row Motorsports (FRM) history. He will be making his 104th start for the Statesville-based race team this weekend at the Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway. With three years under his belt at FRM, it makes him the senior driver at the place he’s called home since 2010.
Over the past three seasons, Gilliland has helped improved the organization by becoming the first driver to give the team its first top-five finish. The finish, a third in the 2011 Daytona 500, is its highest to date. Gilliland has also earned half of FRM’s top-10 finishes in its young history.
Heading to Homestead for the season finale this weekend, Gilliland is just three points behind 29th in points. He hopes to jump into that position and ensure that both FRM teams complete the season in the top-30 in driver standings. Gilliland has a best finish of 25th at Homestead.
