23rd in Owners’ Standings…Despite posting a 27th-place finish at Road America, Eric McClure and the TriStar Motorsports team advance one position in the NASCAR Owner standings. They now sit 38 points outside of the top-20. Racing under the Lights in the Bluegrass State: McClure will compete in his 214th NASCAR Nationwide Series event this weekend and his ninth at the 1.5-mile facility. In eight starts, the Virginia driver has completed 82.4% of the total laps attempted and has an average finish of 29.6. During the summer and fall events last season, McClure posted career-high finishes of 26th and 22nd at Kentucky Speedway. Chassis No. 12 … The Virginia native will pilot chassis No. 12 in this weekend’s Feed the Children 300. This chassis was last used at Michigan Int’l Speedway where the team posted a 28th-place finish. Tune-In: Friday night’s race from Kentucky Speedway will be televised live on ESPN beginning at 7:00 p.m. (ET). PRN (Performance Racing Network) and SiriusXM Radio Channel 90 will also broadcast the event live on Friday, June 28, 2013. You had your track-best finish at Kentucky Speedway last fall; do you think you will be able to duplicate the results this weekend? “Kentucky has always been a tough place for me, but last year we ran very well there. It seemed to be the race that spring boarded our competitiveness the rest of the season and it was like we were a whole different team. We are hoping we can go back this year and have a similar result and have the type of race that gives us some momentum going into the summer.” -Hefty/Reynolds Racing PR
