They parted ways with competition director Tony “Pops” Eury Sr. back in early September. Just weeks later the race team parted ways with their co-owner and Danica Patrick’s former crew chief – Tony Eury Jr. Now Wednesday the team announced a new driver coming on board for the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series campaign — Regan Smith. In a press release JR Motorsports announced that Smith will drive their No. 5 Chevrolet Camaros full-time next season, and honestly this is a huge step in the right direction for the organization. Smith brings something to the table that no driver has had for JR Motorsports since Brad Keselowski left — experience. In addition Smith is extremely good to his equipment. Let’s not forget that Smith started his first 53 Sprint Cup Series races without recording a single DNF. JR Motorsports
