Team: No. 16 Fastenal Ford Fusion Crew Chief: Matt Puccia Primary Chassis: RK-849 Last ran Texas – finished 4th Backup Chassis: RK-803 Last ran Bristol – finished 11th Biffle at Charlotte: Biffle has 20 starts in the Cup series at Charlotte, but a win has eluded him. He has finished in the top-five five times and has eight top-10 finishes. The Car: Chassis RK-849 was brand new when it hit the track in Texas and went on to earn Biffle’s one top-five finish so far this season. Fastenal: The No. 16 is part of a three-car tribute with the No. 17 and No. 99 to honor military service men and women this Memorial Day weekend. Meet Greg: Roush Fenway Racing will host our “Fan Day” Thursday, May 23rd in which Greg Biffle will sign autographs at 10am. Tickets will be distributed at 8am. Biffle will be at Wal-Mart (150 Concord Commons, Concord, NC 28027) signing autographs at 12pm on Thursday, May 23rd on behalf of Kellogg’s. Wristbands will be distributed at 11am. Biffle on the Coca-Cola 600: “The Coke 600 is the longest race of the season and gives us an opportunity to work on our car for a long period of time. Charlotte is one of the more temperature sensitive tracks that we race on. Starting in the day and going into evening is a huge factor and why this race is so challenging. Normally the guy fast at the beginning won’t still be the fastest guy at the end. I think we learned some stuff in the All-Star race that will help us this weekend. So we are working really hard on our car to get ready for this weekend.” Puccia on the Coca-Cola: “The Coke 600 is the longest race we have all year long and is a test of the strength of the team, car, driver and everything involved. You have to make sure to pace yourself and make the right adjustments through the whole night to have the car you need when it comes down to the end of the race. The race starts in the evening and goes into the night, you have to keep up with the race track as it changes and adjust to the different conditions. In the All-Star race we tried some stuff out of our comfort zone and we’ll take what we learned from that and build on it for this weekend.”
