Mark Martin, Brian Vickers and Michael Waltrip will team up again in 2013. Michael Waltrip Racing says Martin will compete in 24 races next season in MWR's No. 55 Toyota. Vickers will drive nine and team co-owner Michael Waltrip will drive the remaining three. It's a similar arrangement to what the team used this season. Martins is 25th in the points race despite making only 21 starts. He has won four poles, tied for the most in the series, and has four top-five finishes and nine top-10s. He also is credited with mentoring MWR's other drivers, Martin Truex Jr., and Clint Bowyer, who are in the championship chase. Vickers has had three top-five finishes in seven starts.
