Timothy Peters, driver of the No.17 Toyota won his fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of the year on Wednesday night. It was the fifth career win for Peters who drives for Red Horse Racing. Peters led all 204 laps of the race at Bristol Motor Speedway and increased his points lead.
Peters was able to hold off teammate Parker Kligerman on the 100th G-W-C finish in the history of the truck series.
Sara Peters, wife of Timothy, posted the following tweet on twitter prior to the final restart of the race. “Baby just started kicking around I think he might be a little excited?! Ahhhhh!!!!! GWC finish!”
Kris Buescher, wife of James Buescher, joked about the G-W-C restart by tweeting the following: “Idk how @sarapeters17‘s nerves can handle this pregnant….I am not pregnant and my husband is not leading and I may have a heart attack ”
Kligerman finished third followed byRoss Chastain who finished a career best third.
