Biggest Strength: Young wing talent
Monta Ellis is a nice young talent. They brought in Steph Curry in the backcourt and he will turn out to be a nice player when he adapts to the speed and size of the NBA. And my favorite young player on their team or any team is Anthony Morrow. These guys can really fill it up on offense. They will give any team fits this season.
Biggest Weakness: Consistent defense
Curry is going to get scorched. Monta doesn't take pride in defense. Maggette is a marginal defender at best. But, Jackson, Morrow and Azubuike are good defenders on the perimeter. Biedrins, Randolph and Turiaf are solid inside. So they have potential but Nelson needs to get everyone on the game page. Unfortunate...

Happy Birthday Monta Ellis
Went to GSW open practice today...shhhh...I was supposed to be working, oh well. I stayed for about an hour, watch for a bit and took some vid.
Starters and bench scrimmaged for about an hour and a half. Stax and Monta shot the ball pretty much everytime they touched it, which is to be expected. The Anthonys both look good. Randolph had a monster dunk, and Morrow was hitting shots...

The over/under for Golden State Warriors wins in 2009-2010 is 35.5
The Warriors will likely have a hard time winning 36 or more games this season. With Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis causing problems already the Warriors will likely consider trading both of them during this season. With that in mind I would have to take the under with the Warriors this season despite [...]

Warriors are great at providing drama
OAKLAND Eventually, they'll get around to playing basketball.
Don Nelson will surpass Lenny Wilkens as the all-time leader in NBA coaching victories. Andris Biedrins will swallow his healthy allotment of rebounds. WARRIORS / Will Maggette get durable as he gets older?
When Corey Maggette examined the Warriors' roster before the preseason, the 10-season NBA veteran saw that he's one of only three players with that much experience. "At 29, I'm one of the oldest guys on the team, so it's kind of like I'm 45," Maggette said....
Oops, Pau Surprise
Is it just us, or has this been — from an injury standpoint — the most destructive NBA preseason in a while? Last year Deron Williams started out on the shelf, and of course Gilbert Arenas and Monta Ellis had their issues, but we don’t remember too many other notables beginning the regular season logging [...]
