Minnesota's past and future The Boston Celtics come into this game 9-8 and looking for answers. After blowing a huge lead against the Milwaukee Bucks, let's hope we can rebound. They play the Minnesota Timbervolves today in the "Kevin Garnett/Greg Stiemsma Bowl". If i recall, since we have had Kevin Garnett, we have not lost at home to these Wolves. Here are a few things I am looking for in tonight's game. 1. REBOUNDING. I said it in caps because that's how important it is. Kevin Love averages a whopping 14.6 rebounds a game while Andrei Kirilenko and Nikola Pekovic average 7.5 a piece. As a team they average 45 rebounds a game. We will have to have every player come in and rebound the basketball. With Rondo back, he will need to get aggressive and pull down the rebounds against their bigs. 2. Defense. Hello, Boston Celtics defense? Are you there? When will our top 3 defense come back? The Timberwolves have been shooting really well lately. With Kevin...

Kevin Garnett Must Break His Instinct to Be Unselfish on Offense as Celtics Become More Careful With His Playing Time

BOSTON — Kevin Garnett said he was not doing anything differently, that his attention was still on his defense first and foremost while he took his offense as it came within the flow of the game. Anybody who has watched Garnett play over the years, though, can see how unnatural it looked and how uncomfortable he must have felt taking so many shots, so early in the game, because...

Doc Rivers: ‘There’s the Hall of Fame, and then there’s the table at the Hall of Fame. And Kevin Garnett is at the table’

Via ESPN Boston:“I can guarantee that the people in Minnesota, they miss what he does in the locker room,” Rivers said. “They miss what he does on the floor in practice everyday, his work ethic. He has this ability to give himself to a team. It’s rare that you see a superstar do that, and he does that. I mean, he gives himself completely to his team, and just tells them to...

Here are the full highlights of Kevin Garnett's 18 point night versus the Timberwolves yesterday. KG finished with 10 rebounds and 4 assists to go along with his 18 points. Celtics Live Blog: Kevin Garnett, C’s Touch Down in Philadelphia for First Leg of Home-and-Home Set With Sixers

8 a.m. ET: Absence makes the heart grow fonder and familiarity breeds contempt, so by the end of the weekend the Celtics and Sixers should be good and sick of each other. The Celtics travel to Philadelphia on Friday for the opener of a two-game, home-and-home set with the rival Sixers. Although back-to-backs are not unusual in the NBA – this will be the sixth one of the season...

Recap: KG, Celtics control Wolves

The Celtics started aggressively, but faded down the stretch of the second quarter to lull us all into believing we were in for another frustrating dog fight. But they took control of the game in the second half to push their lead up as high as 17 before settling for a 104-94 win.  The starters, led by Kevin Garnett, demolished the Timberwolves… scoring 82 of the Celtics 104 points...

Al Jefferson Could Lead Celtics’ Wish List for Big Man to Fill Hole Down Low (Photos)

The Celtics entered this season intending to go small, and so far their plan has yielded mixed results. They remain just a little too old and slow to keep up with the fast-paced teams and a little too small to bang with the big bodies. Well before Darko Milicic left the team to be with his sick mother and Jason Collins took on an increased role, the Celtics’ need for another big...
