Found March 13, 2013 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
After last night's loss to the Bobcats, the Celtics will head home for a matchup with the Raptors. Last night's loss was depressing. They showed no effort and deserve criticism. They need a better game plan tonight. Here are the five things: 5. BETTER SHOT FROM KG: In Charlotte, Kevin Garnett shot just a horrible two of ten from the field. Of all the people to not try, Kevin Garnett doesn't. They need him to play his best every night for the rest of the season. 4. BETTER SHOT FROM BRADLEY: As bad as Garnett was, Avery Bradley was just as bad. Bradley shot just 4/11 from the field and deserves a lot of blame for the loss. Like with KG, they need him at his best. 3. DON'T BENCH PEOPLE: Last night, the Celtics stupidly benched Paul Pierce. This was basically saying "we're not going to try tonight even though it's an easy win." My question for the team,"Why?" 2. WHEN YOU'RE CLOSE, KEEP PLAYING: Going into halftime yesterday, the Celtics could've won. But the second half ended up being when the Celtics really stopped giving a crap. Why do they play bad like this against a team like Charlotte? 1. PLAY HARD: No win is guaranteed. You can not go into a game thinking of it as an easy win from now on. Treat every game like it's game seven of the NBA finals. No more slacking off. Tip-off for tonight's game will be at 7:30 pm ET. Live Game Updates will be available here.

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Connected By More Than Just Gaudy Statistics in Sincere Friendship

BOSTON — Twenty years from now, in a break in the action during a Celtics game at the new TD Garden, some precocious little girl or some meathead from the South Shore will show up on the video screen for one of those fan trivia contests. At stake will be a free Apple iChip, the digital music device that is installed directly into the user’s skull, and the question will hearken...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Mike Felger thinks the Celtics planned to lose to the Bobcats. Why? Well, the C’s benched Paul Pierce, and then gave Kevin Garnett just 21 minutes of playing time. The reason for that, according to Felger, is...

The Charlotte Bobcats ran past the Celtics 100-74 ESPN Boxscore Celticslife Recap Player Grades: Players are graded on a curve Kevin Garnett: 5 Points, 2 Rebounds KG struggled mightily today in all aspects of the game, and Doc did the right thing by benching him early. Doc: Pats lost Welker same way we lost Ray

Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers a close friend of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick wasn't happy to hear that Wes Welker signed with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday.

Kevin Garnett passes another career milestone and reflects on the journey and his relationship with Paul Pierce

KG and Pierce, best friends for longer than must of us thoughtKG passed Jerry West for 15th on the NBA’s all-time point list during the game last night in Boston, and followed it up by giving an all-timer of  a KG post game interview.  I wrote up a piece about a Rajon Rondo post game interview and the more I watch the two of them, the more a lot of their mannerisms and responses...

Pacers media knows Boston isn’t a good match up

Pacers reporter Mike Wells of the Indy Star was asked which team the Pacers should avoid in the 1st round of the playoffs? I still say it’s Boston over any other team the Pacers could face in the first round. The Celtics are 2-0 against the Pacers this season and you can never shortchange any team that’s coached by Doc Rivers and has Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, both future...

Doc Rivers Compares Avery Bradley To Scottie Pippen

Avery Bradley has bothered some of the league’s best with his defensive efforts.credit: bostonglobe.com Since Avery Bradley’s return to the team, the Boston Celtics have been playing noticeably better. The team’s success without star point guard Rajon Rondo has been even more surprising. One person who isn’t surprised by the impact that Bradley has had, particularly on the...

Bradley, Green and Rondo could lead the Celtics into a new era?

Rondo and Bradley form a talented but undersized backcourt. The title of this post might have you questioning my sanity, which might be justified, but hear me out. Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, and Jeff Green all play important positions in today's NBA which does not emphasize post play. They all have the ability to play the type of intense defense (even Rondo) that would make...

Comments from the Other Side - Raptors 3/13

It was sad to see 4 pages on one game thread and 19 on another.   Those game threads used to have over 100 pages every game.  The Celtics did get the benefit of some calls last night.     I'm amazed at how many fans hate their head coach.   Makes me very thankful for Doc.  Good game for the Celtics.  Not so much for the Raptors.  Enjoy today's comments...   This...

Your Morning Dump..Where All Is Not Lost

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. We could harp on the bad — and there was plenty of it, like the 19 turnovers, the poor shot selection, Jeff Green’s dud in his first trip back to Oklahoma City, Kevin Garnett’s off shooting night and a poor...

Milestone Night In Boston

It was a historical night in Boston last night with two legendary players moving up the all time rankings in points scored for their careers. Kevin Garnett passed Jerry West to take the 15th spot and Paul Pierce passed Charles Barkley to take the 20th spot on the all time scoring list in NBA history.  It was an epic game in terms of the milestones achieved by two of this generations...
