So your an NBA allstar, MVP, 3 time champion and Gold Medalist and with the economy going into shambles you have accomplished pretty much everything there is to in the NBA right? So why not go overseas for 3 years and play for Greece? Well for one they wanna offer you 83 MILLION dollars nontaxable!!! Let me say that again, NONTAXABLE!! Which means you go overseas, enjoy the european culture for three years, play some basketball, become a global icon and oh yea your getting 83 mil... Not to mention the benefits that come along with this sweet gig. He would also be receiving not only 60 million euros (80 mill in US dollars) but he would get a villa overlooking the mediterranean sea, a personal butler and maid, a driver, college tuition of some sorts to his daughters college funds and oh yea did I mention a boat!?!?! Yea i said it, a boat! How many NBA stars can say that they've gotten all that just for 3 years of work?? My point in all of this is that in my opinion, Kobe should really sit down with the family and discuss this opportunity. He has always stated that he wants to become a global icon and here it is. He's fluent in multiple languages so why not Greece?? He does this for the 3 years, and then if he doesn't like it then he comes back to the states and rejoins whatever team he likes. Just remember this is Kobe Bryant we are talking about, not regular NBA players likes like Bruce Bowen and Peja or even big time stars like Shaq, Tim Duncan and Steve Nash. I mean come on, they went after Josh Childress for crying out loud and the only thing people know about him is that he played for the Hawks and has a wicked afro! My question to all of you is do you think Kobe should really consider this opportunity and take his legacy to another level or should he stay in the NBA and help grow the sport more and more and if the Greek team offered you these benefits would you accept or would you stay in the states?? My answer is yes he should go and if they offered me that kind of package i'd be on a flight tomorrow to Greece..

  • Yes, of course he should consider it. IT'S 83 MILLION.... and he'd be a god playing in Greece... but... it will have a huge effect on the NBA and the fans who watch or attend the games just to see an icon like Kobe play. Great for Kobe, possibly bad for the league, still it's 83 million, so why not!?
