Brandon Wallace Released
The feel good story of the young undrafted player who signed his contract in the basement during summer league has drawn to a close. The Celtics had until Dec 20 to decide on keeping Wallace or the remainder of his 2 year contract would be guaranteed. Doc said that the need for roster flexibility is the reason for the move, more so than Wallace's abilities.
It will be interesting to see what move Danny makes next with that roster flexibility he now has. It is obvious that he will look for someone who can help the team now rather than a player who will develop for the future. I just hope he isn't making a mistake by cutting a player who will one day be a dominant player. Could it be that Danny is just freeing up Jersey #8 for Antoine 3.0?
