The case for, and against extending Rondo

Last night, while doing the 8th Seed show, I said I was going to do a post imploring Danny Ainge to sign Rajon Rondo now.  And while my stance hasn't changed... I can see the logic for not doing the deal this week, and waiting until next summer.Extend him:We love Rondo.  I think he's the guy who gets the keys when the Big 3 are gone.  Why not sit down with him, work things...

Via Jess Camerato at WEEI.com: Ray Allen left Celtics practice on Saturday after getting unintentionally elbowed above the left eye and knocked to the ground by Kendrick Perkins. Celtics.com recently put up their conversation with Kendrick Perkins... and one of the first questions is "who were some of the guys who were big influences in getting you to the NBA?"His answer is absolutely priceless.  He drops KG's name immediately... which is understandable.  Then he drops this gem: "Believe it or not... Fantasy Basketball: Guys I Don’t Trust

Vince Carter Loving The Game Alongside Dwight Howard

by Tim PovtakFiled under: MagicORLANDO -- After 10 consecutive seasons of averaging at least 20 points a game, Vince Carter is likely to see his scoring drop significantly this season. 16-1 does not necessarily impress Doc Rivers

When a team is 16-1 it is a safe assumption that they’re pretty good. Actually, more like very good, or great. But Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers judges by what his eyes tell him as he watches the team play, not the win-loss column. Julian Benbow of the Boston Globe reports: “Last year, I kept making a [...]
