The Celtics have now reeled off 4 straight pre-season wins, beating down the Raptors Wednesday night, 106-90. According to some reports, KG has gone from dragging his knee around, to being as close to 100% as he's been in quite some time. Wish I could say that I could agree, but since I haven't been able to see a game yet (thanks Directv), I'll have to take those observations as fact.P2 led the Celtics with 17, while KG's Knee chipped in 16 points and 6 Rebounds. Ray Allen was in playoff form already, shooting 1-7 from the field (but 6-6 from the stripe). I guess 48 points from the bench is probably a good thing - especially considering that it was 48 points with Rasheed sitting out with his tweaked ankle. Lester Hudson is trying to shoot his way into a role on this team, scoring 12 points in 13 minutes. All-in-all, the Celtics had 6 players score in double-figures, and also only committed 12 turnovers - a trend that we all hope continues.Only three games left in what has already seemed like the longest pre-season in history. The next game is Sunday against these same Raptors. Can't wait to not see it.

A conversation with Ray Allen
Here I am, posting about the Celtics from Vegas. This is another of the Celtics.com "conversations" series. In this one, Ray talks about his legacy and how he got to where he is.
As for Vegas... the one thing that might illustrate my experience so far is Day 1 had me awake for 22 straight hours. Where do I go from there? Don't know...
Ray Allen Helps Celtics Win in Connecticut
Playing in an arena he once called home, Ray Allen did something he always did in his college days. He won. In the early 1990’s, Allen went 26-0 under Jim Calhoun’s Huskies in that arena (now called the XL Center).
Allen finished with eight points, six rebounds, and four assists to help the Celtics get an easy win, [...]
Big 3 Will Play, 'Sheed Doubtful
According to Greg Dickerson, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will all play in tonight's game versus the Toronto Raptors. Dickerson projects each will play about 20-25 minutes.Despite the minor ankle sprain, Rasheed Wallace was taking part in pre-game shootaround. However, Dickerson suspects Sheed will not suit up for the game. There was no update on Marquis Daniels&...

Can We Stop This 'Trade for Nocioni' Nonsense?
Our friends at NESN.com are the latest (Sactown Royalty and CelticsBlog) to jump on the Andres Nocioni-to-Boston trade bandwagon. For those unfamiliar with the 29-year old, 6-7, 220lb forward, Nocioni has averaged 11.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg for his career. According to DraftExpress, he's a physical player, a hustle guy who can shoot threes and score around the basket. So what's the...

Random Thoughts on the Celtics Win over the Nets
(photos courtesy of Yahoo)
I got to see this game live as Direct TV finally has begun showing the preseason games. I really like the fact that they offered both the Celtics feed and the Nets feed. I hope they continue to do that during the season. I love watching Mike and Tommy and getting the commentary through green colored glasses. Every season I have sent suggestions to...
Sheed Tweaks Ankle
Sheed Tweaks Ankle
"Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce took the night off. And Marquis Daniels (stomach ailment) and Rasheed Wallace (mild right ankle sprain) missed much of the action."
Working out some final details
Opening night is a couple of weeks away... and the starting unit is pretty much comfortable with each other. Sure, there are some tweaks to the way things have been done in the past (like Kendrick Perkins getting some more touches), but overall... these guys don't need much more game time. Meanwhile, there are still some second unit questions... so Doc's giving the starters...

Just no guarding against Rondo

Rondo, Wallace Lead Celtics Comeback Over Nets
Playing without Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, the Celtics looked like a shell of themselves for the first two quarters. The Nets took a 60-47 lead into the half, and it appeared the team would mail it in because it’s a preseason game. Who cares?
Rajon Rondo does.
Rondo played 40 minutes and led a Celtics comeback with 18 points [...]
