Now that the draft is over, the Celtics can look to free agency and trades to shape up the team for next season. Despite all the rumors that Perk, Rondo and Ray were on the block for a draft pick in one of the weakest drafts in recent years, the starting lineup is still one of the best in the league. The biggest need that Danny needs to address is to get some quality players on the bench. They need a back up center, a big defensive 3 to back up Paul Pierce, and a back up point guard. Even if the Celtics re-sign Big Baby, they should be looking for another big as well. If last year taught us anything, it is that the team should go into the season with more than enough bigs. There are rumors floating around with a few players that the Celtics are keeping an eye on Rasheed Wallace, Grant Hill, Anthony Parker, Antonio McDyess, Bruce Bowen , Chris Anderson, Linas Kleiza, and Francisco Oberto. According to a Tweet from Ric Bucher, Rasheed is deciding between Orlando and San Antonio ...

"We value Rondo more than anyone else in the league"
Danny Ainge was on WEEI... again. And he was answering questions about Rajon Rondo... again. This time, though, the tone was a little nicer.“I think we value Rondo more than anybody else in the league values him

The Rumor Mill on 6/28
Just read an interesting rumor on CelticsBlog. The rumor comes from the website Pick and Roll. I used a translation site to get a general idea of what it says and here is a rough translation of part of the article. Hudson happy Ainge doesn't hold grudges
We would have known more about Lester Hudson earlier this week... that is... if he had shown up for a schedule workout with the Celtics. But he canceled that, probably because he thought there was no way in hell that he would slip all the way down to the #58. But on draft night, Hudson almost slipped all the way out of the entire draft.ESPN analyst Jay Bilas’ best player available...
2. (58) Lester Hudson, SG
The Boston Celtics selected 24-year old shooting guard Lester Hudson with the 58th pick in the NBA Draft. Hudson played in 124 games in four years at SW Tennessee Community College and Tennessee-Martin in which he averaged 21.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game. What is next Baby step?
Glen Davis is still renting a home in Waltham and hopes to return to the team that he began his NBA career with two years ago. The Celtics also hope that the fan favorite who helped keep them afloat without an injured Kevin Garnett is back, and they have a trump card to ensure that it happens, too.
Now is not the time to trade Rondo
Maybe Rajon Rondo is difficult to coach. Maybe not. Either way, the Celtics would be crazy to trade him, Dan Shaughnessy says.

THE END OF AN ERA
Yesterday the nation lost one of the most beloved stars, The King Of Pop past at the age of 50. The news of his death hit my family very hard.
