Patience is the key. But Brandon needs help!

Things have been a little frustrating lately for RIP City residents. I think it is helpful to remember a few things that can keep us grounded and focused on our bright future. We will be great. But, can Brandon do it by him self? No. Has LaMarcus Aldridge played consistently well this year? No. Will he learn to play consistent basketball? Of course he will. What about Blake? Actually Blake has been pretty great this year.

But the rest of the team seems to be going through menopause lately. Lots of hot and cold spells. The thing I keep reminding myself is that they are young and learning how to win. The early preview of greatness that we were treated to in December may have spoiled us. Winning became something that the fans started to expect, but I think those expectations are more for next year and beyond.

Jack still needs to learn how to turn the ball over WAY WAY less than he does now. Martell needs to learn to shoot consistently, as does James Jones. Sergio needs to learn how to shoot the ball a little better and maybe pass a little less flashy sometimes (when it ends up being a turnover rather than an assist). Travis needs the confidence to know that he is the most athletic player in the league and could probably take over any game he wanted to. But most of all, our boys just need time to figure it all out.

They are growing up fast, but our window of a dynasty is still a ways out for us. Brandon seems to have a complete game, but we desperately need to get him some consistent help. Help that will show up every night. With Greg and Rudy coming in to the mix next year, our future looks bright. I think next year is going to be our year to break out of this inconsistency and the lotto as well.

"Travis needs the confidence to know that he is the most athletic player in the league." -Statements like that, is what gets Blazers fans hated on.

I'm sorry for your loss. I mean, with your gloating about being a dynasty and all. Your emotions went from thinking, "We're a Dynasty" to "Championship!" to "We're making the playoffs" to "Damn maybe next year" to "Brandon Roy can't do it himself damn it!" to "='( *Cry *Sob *Cry".

And I like the Blazers... But I hate you, and damn it feels good to gloat about YOUR loss.

We will be a dynasty. And you guys have already peaked, so.... I guess we will be there every year like we always have and you guys will be doing what you normally do.... watch from home. And I like the GSW, but I have to say, Brandon is so much better than Baron. Just my opinion.

I guarantee the Blazers will not be a dynasty. They haven't even made the playoffs, nor won a ring. I don't understand how you could think that??

They need to prove themselves, which they haven't done all year. Yes, they may have won a few games. But, that means absolutely nothing. Philadelphia is currently winning games, but they will not be a dynasty aswell.

You said, "Brandon is so much better than Baron. Just my opinion." That's exactly what it is, your opinion. But, by FACTS alone, Baron Davis is much better than Brandon Roy - Statistically, lead his team to a better record, playoffs, ticket sales, merchandise, etc. I'm not knockin' Brandon Roy. But, everybody and their momma knows Boom Dum-Dizzy reigns supreme. Yadada!

1. The Blazers are the best group of young talented players. 2. The Blazers may make the playoffs this year or not, but still have the brightest future of any team in the league. 3. Brandon is playing this weekend. What's Baron doing? Ah, thats what I thought.

1. If you are referring to the youngest team in the league, yes the Blazers are indeed the youngest. But, the best group of young players are the Golden State Warriors. 4th youngest team in the league, with a record of 32-20.

2. The Blazers may have a bright future, I agree. But, CURRENTLY they are neither a playoff team or a good team. They are just average, proven by their record.

3. While Brandon Roy is playing in the All-Star Game - thanks to marketing himself through "iRoys" *CoughdesperateCough*, Baron will be resting, thinking about how to get passed the second round of the playoffs this year.

Well Brandon looked really good out there in the sophomore/fresh game as did LA. I bet Brandon looks good in the All Start game too. I think next year we will have Oden Roy and LA in the All Star game. Baron may make it. He may need to get some idavis to hand out. Seems like all it took to get him kicked out of the game were some iROYS, at least thats what GSW fans are saying. I guess if he just was a little more consistent. Well it will be nice when we start our dynasty. Was there any GSWs in the Fresh/soph game?? Go Blazers!!

Ask any NBA fan, if they would rather have their favorite team's franchise player in the All-Star game or have their favorite team in the playoffs chasing the trophy. I guarantee they would choose the latter. Well, any die-hard logical fan would choose the latter.

But, it looks like you are just fine having B-Reezy in the All-Star game and having the Portland Trailblazers out of contention. I honestly do feel sorry for you. Which sucks because I should spend my sorrow on more important things like the Katrina victims and euthanasia.

Oh, and if you think Travis Outlaw is the most athletic player in the league, it just shows how biased and ignorant you are. Serious.

Outlaw can jump out of the building. If you do not think he is possibly the most athletic player in the league, then you just have shown how little you know about Travis Outlaw.

Wow, you must be pretty young fella. I have been a Blazer fan since the late 70's. And one thing I have learned is to be patient. We may make the playoffs this year, we sure have trashed teams like the GSW this year, but my bigger focus is the hope of us living up to our full potential. I will not put all of my hope into what happens this year. This year we were supposed to win just around 30 games. But guess what, we will surpass those expectations. I really just hope we continue to develop and beat teams like yours and get to the promise land. But be patient to let it happen as it should. And I am proud of BRoy and LA. And I cant wait to see BRoy in the game on Sunday. So try not to feel too sorry for me kid, I don't feel sorry for myself. I am very excited about OUR bright future. Go Blazers!

What does age have to do with anything? If I were 10 or 75 years old, either way I would be more knowledgeable than you.

You're talking about patience... I've been waiting 13 years for my beloved Warriors to make it into the playoffs. More than a decade of desperation and false hope, you can't talk to me about patience.

That's great that you're focused on the future. It just proves that right now, your Blazers are not a good team. In which you were trying to prove that they were on the verge of a dynasty, and you failed miserably. You're a joke.

Oh and just to let you know, Brandon Roy had no impact on the Blazers when he came into the organization. He only looks good now because Zach Randolph left for NY and Lamarcus Aldridge is playing up to his potential. Check the stats. Same, if not worse, than last seasons.

Brandon Roy better than Baron Davis, pfff.

P.S. When is the last time the youngest team in the NBA won a championship?? Uh-huh... They need veteran help and if you can't see that, then being a fan since the 70's negates your whole argument.

13 years... wow, the Blazers have never gone thirteen years with out being in the playoffs. Thats just pathetic. I guess I am not arguing knowledge, but I would bet my years of being a fan would not let me down in that department. I don't know you so I won't make a foolish statement about one's knowledge VS another's (doing so is another sign of youth and ignorance).

And nobody can "prove" whether a team is on the verge of a dynasty (or prove that they aren't). Again to make such a statement (of proof either way) just shows lack of life experience and intelligence (I have faith that my Blazers are on the verge of a dynasty and your is not). And if my Blazers are not a good team, why have they crushed your team so easily when they have faced each other? Is your team that crappy? Or are you just an angry little guy trying to lash out at his elders because that is how he feels heard and respected?

Oh.... And to suggest that Brandon has made no impact on the Blazers is the most stupid thing that anyone has said in years. But if that is your opinion, then I guess you are continuing to show your "vast knowledge" of B-Ball. I know you only recognize stats, but maybe after growing up some more years you will understand some of the more important things, like making your team and the players around you better rather than hogging up all the stats (maybe thats why baron davis didn't make the AS team. I wouldn't know because I don't even pay attention to him).

And the last time a very young team won the championship was in 1977. And it was the Portland TrailBlazers. I think you have been taught something kid. I can't help it if you chose to not learn. Consider this argument lost and try to regroup to look a letter more positive in the future kid. Oh... and remember..... GO Blazers!

Look son, you are just repeating the same ole same ole every post. You cannot "prove anything. The Blazers CRUSHED your team... not just once, but twice. You do not know anything about my Basketball IQ or my fan IQ. You just sound angry and are trying a little too hard to get heard. So, I will continue to love my Blazers and you can do what ever it is that young folks like you do. You are a kid who thinks he knows something, but you are coming off aggressive and ignorant. So have a good one. Go Blazers!

Are you stating that Portland beat the Warriors, so that makes the Blazers a better team?

Because if so, then you must think that Minnesota is better than Phoenix.

And yes, I can prove that the Blazers are not on the verge of a dynasty. Simply by stating the obvious... They have not won a championship in over three decades and are not playoff bound. Being on the "verge" of a dynasty suggests that "they are on their way". In which they are not. You need to first, win a championship and then continue to dominate.

Your lack of knowledge definitely shows through your posts. The rest of the world doesn't need me to point it out. So for you to determine ignorance - by me calling you out, is ignorant within itself.

It also doesn't seem as if you've been a fan since the 70's. I honestly believe you jumped on the 13-win streak/Brandon Roy band wagon.

Be real.

man dont be talking crap we have a damn right to gloat with all the shit we have gone through.

i think the team just needs a rest we have been playing alot og games with only a days rest compaired to the other teams haveing 2-4 days off before playing us but not to worry we will right hte ship

I agree. We will be better after a rest and some practice. I hope all of the Blazer faithful can remember that we are young and growing, yet we still kick a big mud-hole in teams like Golden State.
